Writing custom essays and many other written assignments involves one citation format or another. You should know that there are various citation formats choose from and every style has a particular use based upon the subjects of the custom essays. No matter what reference is decided, you must be sure to utilize the same format all through your essay writing.
The Chicago citation format can be used in various courses of study, but it is typically used in custom essays belonging to the humanities, natural and social sciences. This format is utilized as the default style while no special citation format is necessary. Even if it were so, it would be better to refer to your assistant for direction. Under the Chicago writing style, an essay is usually divided into three paragraphs: the front matter, the main body containing the actual paper, and the back containing the references.
The Chicago citation format has two paper systems. This is a traditional system mainly used in papers relating to humanities and history. This is called the “Notes and Bibliography” system. While using this system, you should give the bibliography in the supplementary notes, which may appear in your essay itself or grouped at the end of your paper.
The Author-Date system is typically used in papers relating to social sciences and hard sciences. Often, this system is much simpler than the previous format. Under this format, in-text citation goes on a parenthetical scheme providing the author’s name and the publication’s date. The bibliography appearing at the end of your essay should provide a full bibliographic citation.
